Primary Dickens Award Open for Entries!

Charles Dickens’s stories have thrilled generations, whether they’ve been read, heard or seen through television adaptations, musicals and films. Now there is an exciting chance for school children to channel their engagement with the great Victorian author into creative projects, with the opportunity to enter their work for the Charles Dickens Primary Award 2014.

This prestigious award is given to schools where children have been encouraged to enjoy Dickens’s work through a project which links regular English work with other areas of the curriculum. Organised by The Dickens Fellowship and the English Association and supported by the Charles Dickens Museum, the winning school will receive an award of £500, with a runner up prize of £250. The judges will be looking for examples of everyday good practice as shown by originality and lively outcomes.
