Charles Dickens Museum re-opens on December 10th 2012 following £3.1m transformation.

Dickens’s only surviving London home completes major restoration and refurbishment project.Museum redevelopment is the most significant legacy of Dickens’s bicentenary.Neighbouring 49 Doughty Street opened to offer a new and accessible visitor experience.The Charles Dickens Museum, the author’s former Bloomsbury home, will re-open on 10 December 2012 following a major investment that has seen the building transformed and doubled in size in Dickens’s bicentenary year.
