The stairs leading from the basement to the ground floor feature several displays. The majority of these displays relate to the Dickens Fellowship. Starting at the basement, you first see a large poster for the Dickens Fellowship, and a photo showing a design for the Dickens Playing Cards. Next to that is a display showing pictures of Fellowship members dressing up as Dickens characters. They often enjoy doing so at Fellowship parties and festivals. Going up the stairs, you find a display filled with memorabilia from Fellowship events. They include tickets to conferences, programs from dinners and meetings, and photos of events. Also found on the stairways is a display devoted to the creation of the Dickens National Library in the early 20th century, and another devoted to the first Fellowship Headquarters and the purchase of 48 Doughty Street. Next is an early recruiting poster for new chapters of the Dickens Fellowship, and the official charter of the Fellowship Headquarters. Another display shows information about an exhibition of Dickens relics that was held.
