The Cottage and Piano Stool
The examples shown here were not Dickens's, but the inventory of his next home lists a cottage piano and stool in the drawing room, and it is known that there were such in the drawing room of his previous home. It seems unlikely, then, that they would have been missing from the Doughty Street drawing room.
