The Sofa Table
This large, leather topped, rosewood table, of 1820's manufacture, belonged to Dickens, and ended its days in his household library at Gad's Hill Place. It is featured in Luke Filde's famouse print, "The Empty Chair", and Robert Buss's painting, "Dickens's Dream," both of which can be seen in Dickens's study behind the drawing room at Doughty Street.
