Nickelas Nickelbery by Nicholson
Nicholson, Reynolds and Prest, among many others, published part-issues based on Dickens's works. They adopted his characters and some tried to adopt his style. Although their imitations were poor by Dickens's own standards, they did succeed in making Dickens accessible to the working classes.
Examples include:
Pickwick Abroad and Master Timothy's Bookcase by Reynolds, Oliver Twiss, Nickelas Nickelbery and Sketches Book by Prest, Dombey & Daughter by Nicholson
