Dickens House Plaque
This plaque, located at the entrance of the Dickens Museum reads as follows:

"The Dickens House - Acquired & opened in 1925 by The Dickens Fellowship largely through the efforts of B. W. Matz its founder & first editor of The Dickensian.

In 1952 (its golden jubilee year) the fellowship assisted by The News Chronicle (successor to The Daily News founded by Chas. Dickens in 1846) completed for the house an endowment fund which it dedicated to Walter Dexter second editor of The Dickensian who devoted his life to the memory of Charles Dickens."
