15) Mamie Dickens recorded her memories of her father in My Father As I Recall Him, 1896. The book above is a copy showing the gold-blocked cover design representing Mamie and Katey dancing with Dickens and John Leech. The book to the right is a copy with alterations by Katey in preparation for a new edition. On the book is a 'carte-de-visite' photograph of Mamie.
16) Framed photograph of Katey, in mourning for her first husband, Charles Collins.
17) 'Carte-de-visite' photographs of Dickens in the 1860s issued by the firms of Mason and Watkins.
18) Katey's memories of her father were published after her death by her friend Gladys Storey in Dickens and Daughter (1939). Here came the first official disclosure from a source within the family that Dickens had a long relationship with an actress, Ellen Ternan, which caused the break-up of his marriage. On the book is a photo of Ellen Ternan.
19) A pictorial broadsheet, commemorating Dickens's death.
