Why was A Christmas Carol so popular when it was first published? What social messages did Dickens conceal between its seasonal pages? How does examining some of his non-fiction writing help us to build up a picture of the context behind the story?
This session is particularly suitable for young people aged 14 plus, particularly those studying A Christmas Carol at GCSE who would like to revise and extend upon their knowledge. Join us with your family from the comfort of your own home and let us help you get a conversation going about what this famous book is all about! Work together to examine some of the text more closely and unpick some of Dickens best, but rarely read journalistic writing.
The session lasts 1hr 15mins (including time for questions), and we can arrange a session time to suit you!
