Virtual Family Event: Say Cheese!
£8 per person/ device (Includes session and portrait making kit)
Event for young people aged 11-14 years and their guardians.
Duration: Approx. 60 minutes
Ever thought our obsession with capturing endless images of ourselves is a modern- day phenomenon? Then think again! Join the Education Team at the Charles Dickens Museum to find out more about the famous author’s preoccupation with appearance! Investigate some of the portraits and photographs we keep here in the museum, look more closely at some of Dickens’s most visual character descriptions and have a go at making your very own self-portrait for posterity using the portrait making kit we will send to you.
Sessions on 5th April, 8th April and 13th April from 11am-12pm.
Tickets need to be booked in advance here.
We would love to welcome your whole family for your session, but should that not be possible, then please note that we must insist on at least one adult being in the room with your child throughout the session. We will ask for your postal address upon sign-up, this is so we can send out your child’s portrait making kit. As a family session, we are unfortunately not able to take bookings from adults not accompanying a young person.
Zoom is required to take part in this session. A link to the Zoom session will be emailed to registrants in advance of the session.
