Overseas Christmas Explorer Tour
Immerse yourself in a Victorian family Christmas! Exploring the beautifully decorated Bloomsbury home of Charles Dickens, this interactive tour features language based drop-in activities including speaking, writing and listening practise. We cater to students just starting out with their study of the English Language, through to those who have been studying for several years. Our drop in activities include examining the writing equipment Charles Dickens would have used and teaching students how to use quill pens and inks for themselves, investigating Dickens use of descriptive language and using dramatic techniques to create our own 'Dickensian' style readings and using storytelling methods and structures to allow students to create their own Dickens-esque story which brings to life the characters, spaces and objects that were familiar to Victorian audiences.
