This armchair was probably purchased by Dickens when he was living in Doughty Street. George Cruikshank sketched Dickens in the Doughty Street drawing room seated in this chair in 1837.
Armchair upholstered in plum-coloured leather which belonged to Charles Dickens. 1800-1850.
