Edwin Landseer’s Boxer

On the cover of this edition of ‘The Cricket on the Hearth’ you can see Boxer, the dog from the story. This depiction was drawn by Edwin Landseer who was famous for his artworks of dogs and other animals. Dickens became friends with the artist in the 1840s.
