Ghosts KS4
The mischievous Marley’s Ghost has trapped Scrooge’s heart deep inside a locked box! Can you help restore Scrooge’s humanity?
In the first 45-minutes of the workshop, students will work collaboratively using inference and applying literary and problem-solving skills to complete a series of challenges. Through learning about ghosts and Scrooge’s character, students will aim to ‘free’ Scrooge’s trapped heart and prevent him from becoming heartless forever!
You’ll need to have your wits about you and bring your best literacy skills if you want to stand a chance of beating Marley’s Ghost at his own game. Once you’ve set Scrooge’s heart free, you’ll explore the museum through a ghostly lens, learning about Victorian beliefs around the supernatural. You may even hear some ghostly tales along the way…
This session looks closely at A Christmas Carol whilst also providing strong contextual information about Victorian life and supernatural beliefs.
