Group bookings
We welcome your group to the museum and our staff are happy to help you make the most of your visit.
Please note: For our group bookings of students/children 16 years old and under we ask that you please book an education workshop rather than a self-guided visit.
For group bookings of 17 to 18 years olds we require a minimum adult-to-students ratio of 1:10 for the safety of your group.
To ensure that all of our visitors have an enjoyable experience, we request that any group of 10 or more people are booked with us at least a month in advance. As the Museum is an historic terraced house with limited space, our maximum group size is 45 people.
We can allow up to 15 people to enter the house at one time. For larger groups, we would need to split you up into smaller groups, with a 15 minute interval between group entries.
· 10 – 15 people = 1 timeslot
· 15 – 30 people = 2 timeslots with a 15 min interval between each
· 30 – 45 people = 3 timeslots with a 15 min interval between each
A visit to the Museum usually lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours.
Self-directed visits:
During our opening hours, we cannot conduct guided tours, so all group bookings are self guided. If you are interested in booking an out of hours guided tour, have a look at our events page for details, and get in touch with our events team.
As the Museum is located on a residential street, we do not have large areas for groups to wait prior to entry so we ask that each split group arrive only at their designated entry time. We are happy to suggest places for larger groups to wait prior to arrival and our staff are happy to provide any other information to help make your group visit an enjoyable one.
