Spring Summer 2026 programme launch
The Charles Dickens Museum is pleased to launch it's Spring 2026 programme of public events. Including educational talks, entertaining performances, and wonderful in-person opportunities for exploration, we have something for everyone.

Special exhibition
Following on from the success of previous temporary exhibitions including Food Glorious Food and Showtime, in February 2026 the museum opened Extra / Ordinary Women which will run until 6 September 2026.
Book now - your museum admission tickets offer self guided exploration of the historic house AND the special exhibition at your own pace. Make sure you leave time for a delicious cream tea in the cafe or garden before you go.

Theatrical performances
For a limited run only. Murder and Mayhem is a performance Dickens's work just as the writer himself used to perform. On reading tours that spanned from New York to Edinburgh, Dublin to Toronto, Charles Dickens captivated audiences with his electric stage presence and unforgettable dramatic readings to sell-out crowds. Now his great-great-great grandchild, actor Oliver Dickens, celebrates the works of his great ancestor. Performances take place in the drawing room on 49 Doughty Street on selected dates in May 2026. This will be intimate, powerful, and brilliant. Don't miss it!

Guided tours
New dates have been added for our popular tours of our literary house. These are limited to small groups as you are guided through Charles Dickens's Bloomsbury home. A new addition is our curator-led tours, a superb chance to dive deeper, learning from knowledgeable experts.
