Just weeks after 'A Christmas Carol' was released, it was already being adapted for the theatre. This playbill dates from February 1844 and advertises the stage production at the Adelphi theatre. This was the only known production which was authorised by Charles Dickens and even included a song, 'The Jolly Giant.'
