Drop-in object handlingFrom stinking rivers, to choking smog, Victorian London was a very unhealthy place to live - and medicine still had a long way to go. Join the team from the Old Operating Theatre here at the Charles Dickens Museum, who will be demonstrating 19th century medical and surgical objects from their handling collections, alongside objects from the Dickens Museum. Discover some of the dangers of growing up in London and how ideas and understanding gradually changed to make life – and people’s health – better. This is a free drop-in event suitable for all ages. All children need to be accompanied. An admission ticket for the Historic House is not required to take part in the event which will take place in the boardroom. Separate entry tickets will need to be purchased to visit the historic house. Donations are welcomed
