Becoming a member of the Charles Dickens Museum welcomes you into the Charles Dickens community, celebrating the legacy of the remarkable author. You'll be directly supporting our work in maintaining the fabric of the historic house, where Dickens wrote early novels such as 'Oliver Twist,' helping us to preserve our collection of over 100,000 items, broaden understanding of Dickens's legacy through our education and outreach programmes, as well as enabling us to safeguard the future of the collection through research, development and new acquisitions. As a self-funded museum, none of our work is possible without the generous support of our donors and members.

There are several ways that you can support us through museum membership, and we want to make sure you get the most out of your membership.

Prices:

Individual: £40 a year 

Joint: £50 a year

Student: £30 a year 

Life: £500

Joint Life: £800

Please note: If you are booking from outside the UK, there is an additional fee to cover international postage of your membership details.

We'd love you to join us as we celebrate our centenary year, looking ahead to the next century and all the possibilities that the future might bring. With your kind support, we can help preserve Dickens's incredible legacy for future generations.

Once you have purchased a membership, we'll post a card to your home address. It can take up to 10 working days to arrive, however you may make use of your membership straight away using your confirmation email.

If you purchase a student membership, you will need to present your student card alongside your membership card when you arrive.
