Mrs Dickens's Breakfast Marmalade

£7.00

From our Mrs Dickens's range, this breakfast marmalade brings you the delicious taste of a traditional English breakfast. Both sweet and tart, this breakfast marmalade is made exclusively for the Charles Dickens Museum, and is the perfect gift, sweet treat or souvenir.

Catherine Dickens, nee' Hogarth, was the wife of Charles Dickens from their marriage in 1836 till Dickens's death in 1870, though the couple separated in 1858. A renowned hostess and gregarious entertainer, Catherine published her own 'book of fares' in 1852 called 'What Shall We Have For Dinner?' Containing recipes and menus for groups of 2 to 12 people, it not only demonstrates Catherine's canny ability to host parties of all sizes, but it offers us a rare glimpse into what the Dickens family themselves often ate.

Made in England.
